This information applies to the Zixty Insurance app (the app) and website which incorporate the Zixty Miles carbon offsetting and the provision of insurance quotes and insurance cover.
Zixty Ltd (Zixty, us, we or our) is an insurance intermediary providing cover through selected insurance partners. Zixty Ltd (FRN 970488) is an Appointed Representative of Movo Partnership Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN.823503).
This document should be read in conjunction with the Zixty Privacy Policy which can be accessed via the app or on our website www.zixty.com.
Please read these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy before you use the app or the website. Using the app or the website confirms your acceptance of these Terms.
Zixty provides short term insurance for vehicles from 1 hour to 28 days. By downloading the Zixty app from the app store, or by using the website, you will be able to request a quote and purchase cover.
We also offer optional extras including Zixty Assist breakdown cover and an excess protection product available as part of the quote.
To receive an insurance quote, it is vital that you provide us with accurate and complete information. We will carry out 3rd party checks to confirm and add to the information provided. If we establish that the information you provide is not accurate or complete, we may choose not to provide a quote, or your policy may be invalid and you may be liable for losses in the event of a claim.
You may find it difficult to re-arrange cover if you did not tell an insurer everything when asked, resulting in policy cancellation, and you must disclose this fact when you reapply for insurance.
Cover is limited to a maximum 56 days continuous cover and a maximum of 3 back to back policies (whichever condition is met first). A policy is defined as 'back to back' when a new policy starts within one hour of the end of the previous policy.

Zixty Miles is a service we provide through our Zixty Insurance app which provides us with the ability to measure the miles you drive and offset the carbon generated by your car while on cover. For each calendar day of cover, we will offset up to 100 miles of driving per day. For example, if you take out a 5 day policy, then we will offset up to 500 miles of driving.
The app also measures your driving performance and provides feedback on how to drive with improved fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions. For an electric vehicle (EV) this will translate into more mileage from the same charge. Each trip will be scored (Eco Score) from 1 to 10 where 10 is best and means the trip was driven in a very eco friendly manner.
Zixty Miles is free of charge to use for Zixty policyholders and can be activated when purchasing a policy through the app. Other benefits apply and full details are provided in the app.
The app uses your phone's sensors to measure mileage and understand how you drive, identifying where you could improve your driving to reduce emissions. You will need to give permission for the app to use location, fitness data and notification to use Zixty Miles.
When you have an active policy with Zixty Miles enabled and make a journey (a "trip"), the phone will record your location and sensor data and upload it to us at the end of the trip. We do not track you. We calculate carbon emissions and driving behaviour such as speed, acceleration, braking and cornering using the data provided by the app. It is not essential to capture phone sensor data for the operation of the policy but instead, enables the optional Zixty Miles features to operate and deliver additional benefits to you.
Provided that you have enabled appropriate permissions, the app will automatically identify and notify you when you are taking a trip.
When a Zixty App user enables Zixty Miles in the app the following terms also apply.
Specifically the Zixty App collects and transmits data on location and mileage driven. The app collects location data whilst you are driving even when the app is closed or in the background. This data is processed to help identify mileage driven and driver behaviour. We will communicate this information to you in the Zixty App.

Raw Trip data is anonymised and retained indefinitely and may be used by our Telematics provider and their associated partners for the purposes of improving systems.
If you disable Zixty Miles, or you revoke app permissions that stop Zixty Miles from operating, you will not receive any of the Zixty Miles benefits even though your insurance policy will remain valid.
By driving smoothly and at safe legal speeds, you should achieve a higher trip score. A higher trip score means you have driven well and should generate lower CO2 emissions. High trip scores also correlate strongly with safer and lower risk driving which is good for everyone!

By using the app, you are in agreement with the following terms of use listed below and we ask that you use this app responsibly. If you disagree with any of the terms, please remove the app from your phone and contact Zixty via web chat on www.zixty.com to discuss your decision.
You understand and confirm that:
We will not be responsible for any activity performed using your login details unless we have acted negligently or in breach of these Terms.
Failure to fully carry out your responsibilities under this agreement may result in any insurance cover purchased through the app becoming invalid.
For the app to function correctly, you need to ensure that you have an internet connection either via mobile data or on a WiFi.
If you no longer wish to receive our services you can close and delete your account by using our chat facility either via our website www.zixty.com or in the app, or write to us at Zixty Ltd, 10 York Road, London SE1 7ND.
Please note that once deleted, your account cannot be recovered, and you will not be able to access any of the information we hold about you. Deleting the app will mean you no longer have access to your policy information if you have an existing policy running.
Unless you close and delete your account, we will continue to hold your account information for you. For full details please see our Privacy Policy in the app or on the website Privacy Policy
We can refuse to provide you with access to the app either temporarily or permanently, terminate your use of the service and delete your account, at any time and at our sole discretion. Examples of when we might do this include if:
We may also keep records or data derived from your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
When you're using the app you must not do any of the following things. If you do or if we have reason to believe you either have done or will do, we may refuse to provide services to you temporarily or permanently
The email address and phone number you provide to us for the purpose of our communications with you must be personal to you and relate to an account you control.
You must not allow the app to be used by yourself or another person:
We may disclose your identity, your activities and other information we hold about you to law enforcement or other appropriate third party agencies if we discover or suspect you are involved in illegal activities. We reserve the right to take other actions as necessary (including legal action).
We may monitor your use of our services and monitor your activity for security purposes.
Zixty and its associated suppliers are not liable for loss and/or damage, injury or death as a result of the operation, non-operation, use or misuse of the app and its features.
By using the app, you agree that you will not infringe any copyright, licence agreement, trade secret, patent or trademark of any materials accessed through the app.
All intellectual property rights in the app, in the material published on the app and in its component systems are owned by, licensed or sub-licensed to Zixty.
All content on the app is subject to copyright with all rights reserved.
Images, trademarks, and brands are protected by intellectual property laws and may not be reproduced or appropriated in any manner without permission of their respective owners.
You must not remove any acknowledgement that we or any of our contributors is the author of any content of the app or any other content we provide to you as part.
You may download or print or screen grab content or individual sections or pages of the app or web site for your personal use and information only, provided that any such copy has attached to it the relevant proprietary notices and/or disclaimers.
Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the app is done at your own discretion and risk and you are solely responsible for any loss or damage incurred that results from the download of any such material.
We may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any changes to our Terms and Conditions by sending you an email notification or by posting a notice on the app, or in any other manner we deem appropriate.
Your continued use of the app will confirm your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may choose not to notify you of any changes that do not affect your rights or obligations under this agreement and that constitute a mere update of information. Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any updates made to the information here.
We cannot guarantee that the app or any content will always be available, uninterrupted or error free including for the following reasons:
The Zixty website uses cookies and similar technologies("cookies"). These cookies help the website to work and collect information about how you use the website to enable us to improve it.
We use a 3rd party provider called Stripe to charge your payment card, but transactions will show up as Zixty Ltd on your bill. The surname on your payment card must match the surname on your driving licence. Payments can also be made using Apple Pay and Google Pay.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
